What Parents Can Do
Keep up with your student's grades online or by emailing me. Contact me if you think there is a problem that needs to be resolved in grading or any other situation you feel I can help with. Talk to your child about the class, their grades, online work, and upcoming assessments.
HOLD US ACCOUNTABLE
Don't wait until the 9th week of a grading period to check in with your student or myself. Make us explain why grades are what they are and how we can improve them if needed. Pay attention to your child's time on task at home when doing online work. Call me if there is a problem you want to bring to my attention or if you have a question
If I send an email, letter, or call home, answer me as quickly as you can in order to resolve situations that may occur in the classroom involving attendance, grades, illness, or discipline. Keeping the line of communication open between us will avoid many problems.
Many parents offer to send items in to the classroom and we love you for your generosity! If you have supplies you would like to donate or send, we always appreciate them. Here is a brief list of items that we always need:
